(Fiction)

Brainstorm - notes

Science has uncovered much of the key
- Particle physics
- Psychology
- Biology and on and on

Myth can hold pieces of the key
Music can hide pieces of the key
Everyday we are closer to it. At times throwing it away like a disused paper wrapper
Being = body/mind. No more simplistic dualisms

The Searcher is always in physical and emotional uncertainty

The searcher is man: a person bringing his being to the limits in preparation.

Using the many geniuses before and around him, he inches closer and closer to the full key. At first he had myth and song to search through. Then science/ technology arrived, bringing with it new and more powerful tools in the search. Everyday he had more and more sources to look through. The information overload became a dual edge sword in the search. It’s reflection appearing in so many forms.

Each day we gather more and more information about our world and in it is the key to unlocking an inherent ability in us.
What is the inherent ability?

This is the only way I can put this thought stream into words. Through fiction half-baked ideas can roam free of prejudice until they are ready (or not). I may have left this stream behind a while back, but I still wanted to put it on the site as an evolution of sorts.
It began as an interest in anthropology, sociology and evolution.

One more lost to me. The doors open for nothing, not even my own.

The Slave

I have always only stayed one year in any given job. Partially because a better job has come about, but also because I believe it prevents goals from ever being achieved.
I've been in my current job for almost 2 years and already it's scaring me how quickly I am becoming this robot that is happy to stay here and listen to orders given down from the master. How easily I rationalise my lack of drive to "I'm happy here" or worse "I'm earning good money here why risk that". I have to keep reminding myself these thoughts will be my downfall. These thoughts will lead to an inevitable moment in time that leaves only but a few unscathed. Those few are people with the best abilities to brainwash themselves for failing. To risk nothing is to gain nothing in life. If you're happy with that then don't bother dreaming, it’s a waste of your time.

Ramble 1

It’s sad when the hegemony of the rich so successfully infiltrates the minds of the proletariat. I asked someone what intelligence is? Or what makes a person of value? The answer I got was “how much money they make”, “How many assets they own”. I had no response for them. All I said was fair enough.
